How fortunate for the cold weather and having someone spot the snake! I like the happy ending for everyone including the snake.
It's too bad puff adders are so venomous because they're so cute! They're so chubby that if you hold them by their tails they can't bend around to bite your hand. Although I don't recommend trying that at home.....
This is not something that I would enjoy. I would not classify puff adders as cute. Puppies are cute, big poisonous snakes are big poisonous snakes. I'm such a wuss.
